Obsession: This Cozy Earth Cuddle Blanket Is the Reason I Sleep Like a Rock

Everyone I’ve shared a bed with tells me I’m an absolute nightmare to sleep next to. I toss. I turn. I steal the covers. I wake up multiple times and take forever to fall back asleep. That was until I began sleeping under a Cozy Earth Cuddle Blanket, which now has me sleeping like a rock.

After seeing the difference a weighted blanket made for my nephew with sensory issues (and as a fan of Cozy Earth’s bamboo sheets), I’ve been pining for an excuse to add the brand’s oversized faux fur throw to my bedscape. While it’s not technically a weighted blanket, it’s listed as having «a substantial weight to set it apart from the rest,» and it certainly does. Though Cozy Earth doesn’t list an exact weight, reviewers agree it’s at least 10 to 15 pounds.

Night after night, I snuggle with my throw blanket while partaking in my bedtime ritual of binge-watching reality TV…and wake up amazed at how fast I’d fallen asleep and how well I’d slept. The Cuddle Blanket has made such a difference in my sleep quality that I now use it in place of a down duvet. As a hot sleeper, I’m impressed by how the thick faux fur fabric doesn’t cause me to overheat, though I’m already dreading sweltering summer nights when I won’t be able to curl up beneath it.

Many reviewers compare its plush texture to that of «a mink coat.» The blanket comes in four neutral colors and two sizes (the standard 60″ x 50″ or a larger 80″ x 60″ bed-sized version). Plus, the Oprah-loved brand offers the Cuddle Blanket in a new bubble-textured style that’s slightly lighter weight. While the product is listed as machine washable, I’d suggest proceeding with caution unless you have oversized washer and dryer units. My throw barely fits inside my small washing machine and requires multiple cycles in the dryer.

I know what you’re wondering: Is a Cozy Earth Cuddle Blanket worth it? Though it’s an investment priced at $306 (or $366 for the oversized version), I’d say the answer is a resounding yes. Because after all, if there’s one aspect of life worth splurging on, it’s better sleep—and better bed rotting.
