In the third season of The White Lotus, audiences are introduced to the luxurious 177-foot catamaran SpaceCat, a vessel that takes center stage for a memorable day-and-night cruise off the coast of Thailand (it’s apparently owned by the dodgy Greg-Gary). Filmed against the breathtaking backdrops of Phuket’s Ya Nui Beach and Koh Samui’s Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park, the episode showcases the yacht’s lavish amenities and stunning design.
SpaceCat is the creation of SilverYachts, an Australian yacht builder known for its sleek, high-performance boats. Previously focused on slim, fast yachts, the company expanded into catamarans in 2019, starting with SpaceCat. Collaborating with renowned yacht designer Espen Øino, SilverYachts made the transition while prioritizing both space and elegance. Catamarans, by their very nature, are more spacious than traditional yachts, making them ideal for those seeking luxury and comfort without compromising on space.
The 44-foot SpaceCat features an expansive layout with over three separate decks. Each level offers unique spaces for relaxation, sunbathing, and dining. The yacht’s main deck boasts an 18-foot pool, framed by a bar and television screens, making it a focal point for social gatherings. Meanwhile, the forward bow area offers cozy seating and exceptional views, a perfect place to unwind while taking in the scenic coastline of Thailand. There is even a more intimate lounging area at the aft, complete with shaded sunbathing spots. Above, the sundeck offers space for various activities, including yoga, lounging, or conversations reminiscent of the dramatic tension seen in The White Lotus.
Inside, SpaceCat can accommodate eight guests in four luxurious, ensuite cabins, with an emphasis on modern design, natural light, and comfort. Huge windows bathe the interior in light, ensuring the connection to the outdoor environment is never lost. Guests are attended by a crew of nine, providing top-tier service to match the superyacht experience. Every aspect of the yacht has been designed to provide a spacious, luxurious feel, and with a range of dining areas, social hubs, and recreational spaces, it offers the full package for those seeking indulgence at sea.
