The tyranny of the all-white bedroom is over. Parachute, the linen brand that has won us over with their crisp neutrals, is going colorful with the drop of five bold limited-edition hues.
Cobalt is a sophisticated electric blue; Marigold is a bright yellow; Tobacco, a deep, earthy orange, Peacock, a trendy blue-green, and Honey looks like liquid gold in fabric form. “This bolder palette is designed to work together and with our core colors,” Amy Hoban, Parachute’s Chief Creative Officer tells ELLE Decor.
The shades play nice with each other and with your existing neutrals. “Tobacco looks amazing with Cobalt for more of a pop but also looks great with Honey and Marigold for a warm desert feel,” Hoban says. And pattern lovers can alsorejoice. Hoban’s philosophy leans into abundance: “More can definitely be more with mixing these colors with patterns.” Just keep it smart. Marigold with florals that echo the yellow, or lean into complementary colors because “yellow goes great with purples, shades of orange with shades of blue”—classic color wheel theory.
Color-curious but commitment-shy? You’re allowed to just dip a toe in. “You can be an all white bedding type and be looking for a more fun, summer vibe and add two Marigold cases to your white bed and have an instant refresh,” she says. The sophistication factor, according to Hoban, comes down to confidence in your choices.
