The Top Garden Trends You’re About to See Everywhere

Otherwise called a natural-looking garden, this trend is clearly aligned with a few others we’re seeing this year, like the native plant and drought tolerant gardens. The message is: In 2025, we want plants to be plants, in all their beautiful, messy, organic forms. Hot mess gardens, however, are not low-maintenance. They are, in fact, expertly tended; vibrant and full. To achieve both vibrancy and fullness in all seasons means understanding how tall each plant will grow, and how quickly, as well as what they’re going to look like all year long, which is why these gardens are often defined by their ornamental grasses (papas, pennisetum, and miscanthus) planted to give a range of heights and textures.
