Behold Meghan Markle’s Favorite Candle

Few of us could imagine what it would be to walk in the designer stillettos of Meghan Markle, the 41-year-old actor and Duchess of Sussex—though even the most insolvent of us certainly tries (thank you for this, Buzzfeed). But in light of the Cut’s latest cover story, which gives a fleeting glimpse into Meghan and Prince Harry’s palatial, 18,000-square-foot Montecito, California, home, we can all do more than imagine the heavenly smells that waft through: In fact, we can own the duchess’s fragrance of choice.

“Meghan, relaxing in a cozy chair, gazes over all that is climate-controlled and high-ceilinged and sun-dappled and perfectly marshmallowy, and hers,” writes Allison P. Davis, remarking on her experience in Megan’s sitting room last month. “An invisible hand has lit a Soho House–branded rose-water candle (the founder, Nick Jones, is a friend from ‘long before I met Harry,’ she says), and that scent fills the air.”

And you don’t even have to be a member of the exclusive club to indulge in Soho Home’s Bassett Rose Water candle or scents similar. You, too, can channel the sweet bergamot-infused scent that graces the home of the Duchess of Sussex. With a hint of spice, of course—just like the duchess herself. While the candle is currently out of stock, below are some other similar scented candles.
