It’s official–we’re traveling to Thailand.
White Lotus season 3 is returning to our screens on February 16, and this season’s star-studded cast headed to Thailand to film. More specifically, the show was filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Koh Sumai. This follows suit with seasons 1 and 2 (and our own predictions), which were filmed at Four Seasons’ resorts in Maui and Sicily, respectively.
The Four Seasons Resort Koh Sumai is on the northeastern shore of a small island in the Gulf of Siam–and it is luxurious. Rooms start at $1,700 per night—and go up from there. And that’s not including all the wonderful experiences and restaurants you can visit when you go.
According to the Four Seasons website, Koh Sumai offers plenty of outdoor adventures, from jet skiing to boat tours of the gulf. You can also visit an elephant sanctuary (which we might have spotted in the season 3 trailer) and take a variety of fitness classes.
Some parts of the show were also filmed at the Anantara Mai Khao Villas, a collection of stunning villas near Phuket. Rumor has it that we can also spot the cast of the White Lotus in Bangkok and Ko Pha Ngan this season.
Since The White Lotus always becomes an advertisement for wherever the series films, we can no doubt expect an increase in vacations to the country–and definitely to these luxury spots. Experts say the best time to visit Thailand is during the dry season between November and February, which makes it a nice escape from frigid temperatures in the U.S. If you want a chance to see this resort in person, book now–and report back.
